Oh my God, Jo-Anne, I can so relate to your physical challenge, having a condition called 'pudendal neuralgia' myself and still living with it since July 09! Not many people have heard of this illness, but it's basically a compressed nerve deep in the pelvis that brings on the most horrible pain all over the pelvic floor; you can't sit for long; and it can affect the function of organs such as bladder and bowel. I won't go into any more details, because there isn't any point in going on about it.

Needless to say, I have been through the depression, the 'wanting to die' phase, the pain, tears, panic attacks, you name it and I think you and I have had it :-)
I'm doing better now, after months of physical therapy. There is surgery for this but they don't recommend it as only a handful of doctors know about it and the outcome isn't that good. Besides, I believe in the body healing itself. My inner self and I have finally made a strong connection (it only took me over a year to do this), and now I am beginning to let go of the fear and I'm taking more control of my life.

Well, that's a little about me that I wanted to share. I think what you do is great, and overcoming the obstacles is what it's all about, isn't it?

Hope to connect with you soon.

Love, Sylvia (Sydney, Australia)

Hi Mel;

Thank you for responding on this blog. I always enjoy reading feedback from readers.
I do write fiction that has characters very close to what I've gone through. Perhaps when I'm famous (lol), I'll write a biography that others will want to read.

Blessings to you.

Hi Jo-Anne,
Have you ever written your story as a book? I was commissioned by Hodder & Stoughton some years ago to write the story of a lady who had a brain tumour and who, though she became wheel-chair bound, went on to write books of poetry. Her courage and faith were an inspiration to many. The book, Healed Within, is out of print, but I still have copies.

I wish you well with your writing / publishing enterprise. God bless,
Mel Menzies
