1.) What has been your most recent creation?

I love to sew, scrapbook, and make funky crafts/accessories. I enjoy making custom items. Recently, I’ve created unique designed:

About a year ago, I had a vision to create a Book Bag from the case-wrap hardcopy of  the book. After searching many used-bookstores, I exited the building with arm-loads of hard covered books. I headed home to mold this vision into something concrete. I wanted to create a well-made bag and design a fashionable product that others would discover as an attractable accessory and intellectual statement of self-identity.

2.) Why should Authors purchase the Book Bag?

Any sort of marketing tool like bookmarks, cards, book videos—all have multi-functional purposes. A win-win result:

WIN – The author buys the bag (for advertisement) and can write-off the expenses as an income tax deduction.

3.) How do you make the Book Bags?

No pages are harmed during the bag making process. I take the books and only use the covers. I then take the sleeve and wrap it back on to the fully in-tact book and donate it to a Refugee Center here in Arizona called the IRC.

This recycled book transformed into a funky handbag makes the most unique gift.
The handbag is created from one of my favorites growing up!From the Baby-sitters club series “Dawn’s Big Date” by Ann Martin. A great gift for any book lover you know!

Created with a pocket meant for credit cards. The dimensions are 6.25″x9.25×0.75″.

This book handbag is hand crafted by myself. I have tested the purses for sturdiness and quality. Each book is made from a good quality recycled book. I have put finish on it to prevent any rips and tears.

3 – After initial contact,

a.) I will give you the shipping address as to where your books need to be sent.

b.) Mail your books and send the full payment as directed.

*I accept PayPal, and money orders by special request. Payment must be made within 7 days of purchase, no exceptions. I will re-list item if not paid for and negative feedback will be left.

4 – Delivered Books Ready for Distribution – Within 3 weeks, your specially crafted bags with your book jacket will be shipped to your home, ready for distribution.

I need the same number of hardcopy books as requested carry bags. Now paperbacks and hardcover book with dust-jackets do not work. *I must use case-wrap hardcover books.*

Shipping Items will be shipped next business day to the address that you specified at the time of checkout.

5 – Extra – Refunds and Exchanges -  I want you to be happy with your purchase. If it is not exactly what you imagined I am happy to work with you to make it right.

I will accept items for return, repair or exchange (if available) within 7 days of receipt. However, buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs. Please contact me first to discuss the details of the situation so I can be prepared and give you an appropriate time-frame on repairs.

5.) Why the sudden interest in making a designer craft into merchandise as a second income?

My father will soon lose his house unless he can come up with the mortgage payments. I just couldn’t watch him lose his most precious possession. I decided to help him save his house he built with his own two hands. The income I generate will go to help my father save his home.

It’s a long story, so I’ll try to make it as short as possible:

My father is a simple man who emigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1969 searching for a better life. Growing up, I watched him build our house with his own two hands, constantly adding things that reminded him of Czechoslovakia. A couple of years ago my mother’s brother (Frank) asked for my father to co-sign a loan for a business he was starting. My father wanted nothing to do with it, he had worked hard to get out of debt and didn’t want anything in his name. My mother and uncle constantly asked about the loan, until my father finally gave in.

Uncle Frank is now basically homeless, his business has gone into bankruptcy and is now unable to pay off the loan. My parents are now forced to pay $3,000 a month with a combined income of $27,000 a year. I want to help my father financially. My goal is to turn the profits I make from my custom designed products and hand it over to my father so he can have back some of the life he worked so hard on achieving.

6.) Who would benefit purchasing your custom designed products?
